This Doctor Who spin-off began life with Invasion of the Bane, a 60 minute special written by Russell T Davies and produced by BBC Wales for CBBC. Elizabeth Slayden stars as Sarah Jane, originally a companion to the 3rd and 4th Doctors, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker, in the classic Doctor Who series from 1973 to 1976.

Aided by Mr Smith, a sentient supercomputer, Sarah Jane investigates alien activity on Earth, adopting a 'less gun's blazing' approach than that of U.N.I.T and Torchwood.
